What are eQuiltPatterns? eQuiltPatterns are electronic documents (pdf files) that contain all of the instructions, photos, diagrams, and pattern pieces needed to make a quilt (they can be opened and printed using the free Acrobat Reader from Adobe) Resembling a book, every page of the pattern is professionally designed and carefully written. To ensure accuracy, every pattern is quilter tested and sewn. After downloading the file to your computer, you may print the document on your printer. Back to top
Do eQuiltPatterns contain basic quiltmaking instructions? No, it is assumed that you have a general working knowledge of basic quilting methods. Most patterns do not include lessons on construction techniques, although finishing suggestions may be included for some designs. Back to top
How can I find the most recent eQuiltPatterns added? Click on the top of the new patterns box (bottom of the right hand column). This will show you all of the new items that have been added (from newest to oldest). Back to top
I am looking for a specific pattern, how do I find it? eQuiltPatterns are arranged in categories. Find the category that most accurately describes the type of design that you are searching for. For example, if you are looking for cats, click on Pictorial patterns and then Animals. Or, use the Search feature. Enter the keyword in the box and click Go. What is an electronic copy? eQuiltPatterns are electronic pdf files that can be downloaded to your computer and printed. When you purchase an electronic copy, you will be provided with a download link to access the file. You may access the file up to 5 times during a 7 day period after which the link expires. What is a hard copy? A hard copy is printed color version of an eQuiltPattern. We print the pattern on high quality ink-jet paper (in full color) and mail it to you for an additional printing charge. Why does each eQuiltPattern have two different prices? The best way to purchase eQuiltPatterns is to use our secure shopping cart system to download and print them yourself (electronic copy option). You can shop any time of day (or night) and instantly have your eQuiltPatterns so you will be ready to sew whenever inspiration strikes. We realize that despite the benefits of online delivery, some people will prefer to have a color hard copy sent to them (hard copy option). This service is more costly as additional fees are incurred for printing and postage. I missed the download screen or did not get my pattern, how do I get it now? If you missed the download of patterns go to your Profile/Order History screen to download those if it is within 7 days since you ordered them. If it is not within the 7 days email us so that we may reset them back to 7 days. Back to top

How do I download my free copy of Adobe® Reader®? Go to the Adobe® website and select the appropriate version for your operating system. Follow the instructions to download and intstall the software (you will need to have version 5.0 or higher). If you have older versions of Adobe® Reader® installed on your computer, you should remove or uninstall them to prevent possible problems. Why did nothing happen after clicking on the Download Now button? Some of our files are large so you may just need to be patient while your file downloads. Allow extra time for downloads on dial-up connections or when there is a a lot of traffic on the internet. Back to top
When I download a pattern why is it saying the file is corrupt? Make sure your version of Adobe Reader is the most recent version of the program. Also on the Internet errors in a transfer can happen. Fortunantly we have allocated you more than 1 click on the download button just incase this happens. If you are still receiving the same "File Corrupt" problem try right clicking the download button, then going to "Save Target As..". Back to top
Why is it asking me to save the file as 'download.php'? This behaviour is known to happen in some versions of Internet Explorer because of a known bug. To download the pattern you can right click on the name or download button and select 'Save Target As'. Back to top
I get an error after downloading the pattern that says the file does not exist. What should I do? When you get the following error, "There was an error opening this document. The file does not exist.", your temporary internet files are taking up the maximum allowed hard drive space. In Internet Explorer, click Tools, then Options, then Delete Temporary Internet Files. This allows the browser to save a temporary copy of the file so that it may be opened for viewing. Back to top

Use of eQuiltPatterns
Can I save eQuiltPattern files to print later? No. When you purchase an eQuiltPattern you receive a single copy of the pattern that may be used for your own personal use. You may print as many copies of foundation pages as needed to make the project but you may not print extra copies of the pattern or foundation pages to share with others. The quilt designs, images, instructions, photos, and foundation pages are protected under Federal copyright laws which prohibits unauthorized duplication and/or distribution of the work. No portion or any eQuiltPattern may be removed from the site and/or duplicated or distributed by any means. Back to top
Can I print an extra copy to give to a friend? No. When you purchase an eQuiltPattern you receive a single copy of the pattern that may be used for your own personal use only. Your friend will need to purchase his/her own copy of the pattern. Back to top
Can I print extra copies of free eQuiltPatterns and give them to friends? No. To receive free patterns, each of your friends must create his/her own profile with eQuiltPatterns.com. Once created, your friends will be able to download all of the free patterns that you can. Plus, they will receive news and special offers that will only be available to members. Back to top
Can I teach an eQuiltPattern in a class? Yes, provided that each student purchases his/her own copy of the eQuiltPattern that will be taught. For convenience, the teacher may purchase multiple copies of the pattern and print them out for the students. However, teachers may not print multiple copies of a single eQuiltPattern and distribute them without paying for the appropriate number of copies (one per student).
